Village Institution Building

Village institution are developed in order to enhance their capacity in sustainable management of village resources focusing on forests, land and water.

In order to make this possible, it is decided to make a Village Resource Management Committee (VRMCs)  in each project villages, whose main motto will be to manage the common property resources and develop them.

The member of VRMCs are selected by villagers with the help of staff from the forest department. It is mandatory to have atleast 1/3 women membership and same from the SC group. The project is trying to make these committees sustainable so that after project is gone from the village they can survive on their own and manage their CPR and do the development activity in their villages. To make these committees sustainable project is providing different type of training to them.
