Arid and Semi-arid areas affected by sand dunes and wind erosion are rehabilitated and are made productive again to stabilise the dune and arrest the soil erosion, it is going to benefit the disadvantaged village community in 6 districts. Target: Planting of 5,000 ha of moving sand dunes(Sand dune fixation), both on common and private lands Achievement at the end of year 2006-2007 is 5038.8 ha. in 160 project villages |
